Behind the Scenes: Surface & Depth
Surface and Depth: A Bold Beginning for Nicholas Penn Fine Art
Last week, We proudly hosted our debut pop-up exhibition, Surface and Depth, at the charming 67 York Street Gallery in Marylebone.
The event brought together three incredible contemporary artists—
Constance Regardsoe, Simone Russell, and Hannah Webber.
The gallery space, with its elegant yet intimate atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for the works on display—each piece inviting viewers to look beyond the surface into deeper narratives.
An Evening of Art and Celebration
Opening night was a whirlwind of creativity, conversation, and connection. Collectors, fellow artists, and art lovers gathered to experience the exhibition, making for an unforgettable evening.
With a glass of champagne in hand and art all around, guests immersed themselves in the striking paintings and mixed-media pieces.
Constance Regardsoe’s delicate yet powerful figurative works drew viewers into introspective moments, where emotion and movement met on the canvas.
Simone Russell’s textured, abstract pieces played with depth—both physically and metaphorically—inviting close examination of material and form.
Hannah Webber’s striking compositions bridged the gap between tradition and innovation, captivating the audience with their layered complexity.
